By implementing SSO, we are streamlining your login process, removing the need to remember multiple passwords, and helping you to navigate the Patchwork ecosystem more easily and with stronger authentication.

 

We've put together some frequently asked questions about the recent SSO roll out: 

 

What apps are included in SSO?
Patchwork superhub, Patchwork rota and Patchwork Bank. 
Worker apps and Agency apps aren’t included for now. 

Will my link expire?
Yes, the initial link will expire after 48 hours.

What happens if my link expires and I haven’t followed it?
You can use the password reset link which will trigger SSO set up.


Can I use the same password I used before?
Yes you can use the same password you used before but you will still need to set this up via the SSO link, Your password will also need to match the Patchwork password policy. 


Are you checking passwords against any form of breached password database? (e.g. https://haveibeenpwned.com/API/v3#PwnedPasswords)
We don't check against a breached password database at the moment

 

Is the password policy customisable?

The password policy is fixed for all Patchwork users as the following:
- 10 letters
- At least one upper-case letter
- At least one lowercase letter
- At least one special character
- At least one number


Is there a plan to implement SSO via Entra ID authentication (or other IAM’s)?
There are no plans for Entra ID SSO (or other IAM's).
