How to Access Patchwork Rotas and Activate Your Account (as a Rota Manager)

Accessing the rota

Account activation and setting your password

  1. After your account is set up you will receive an activation email.
  2. Open the activation email and follow the link to create your password.
  3. If you do not see the activation email, check your junk/spam folder.
  4. The activation email will expire after a period of time.  If it has expired please reach out to Patchwork to re-send the initial activation email (help@patchwork.health)

Common permissions relevant to rota management

  • View rotas: allows you to open and inspect departmental rotas.
  • Manage leave/sickness: allows you to record and manage leave and sickness for rota staff.

Managing rotas and leave/sickness

  • Users with the appropriate permissions can view departmental rotas and manage leave or sick records directly in the rota portal once signed in.

If you need additional permissions or support

  • Request additional permissions (for example, broader management rights) from your Medical Rostering Team (or the relevant team that set up your account).

Troubleshooting

  • Activation email not received: check junk/spam folder first.
  • Still unable to sign in after activation: confirm you used the activation link to set a password; if necessary, contact your administrator to verify account setup.
