How are on call shifts managed in Patchwork?

On call shifts are handled in a slightly different manner compared to hourly shifts. Due to the specific nature of this type of work, on-call shifts will display two rates - an on call rate and a call out rate.

 

How do I request an on call shift?

To request an on call shift navigate to the ‘request shift’ button on the top right side of the ‘view all shifts’ screen. You can then select ‘On Call Shift’ and complete the required fields as you can see in the below screenshot:

Please be aware that the on-call rates will be automatically determined based on the information entered when creating the associated grade. If you believe these to be incorrect, please contact the Customer Care team on help@patchwork.health

How do you sign-off on an on call shift?

You are able to sign-off on call shifts as you normally would for hourly shifts, as you can see below:

If a worker submits call out hours, you will have the opportunity to review them before signing off the shift. This includes reviewing any other changes or notes that the worker has included.

Should you wish to revert back to the shift's original hours, you can do so by selecting 'Reset time to shift default' in the top right hand corner.
