What is the shift cancellation policy?

Understanding the shift cancellation policy.

A worker is able to cancel their shift via the app within a specific time-frame prior to the shift commencing, as defined by the organisation. Patchwork complies with the specific HR policies at each organisation, and cancellation periods often differ between departments.

Cancellations via the app are not permitted if the shift is due to commence within the specific time frame set by the organisation. After this time, you will have to contact the department or staff bank directly to request cancellation.

When a shift is cancelled, an auto-generated email will be sent to the following recipients, notifying them of the cancellation:

  1. The requester of the shift

  2. The department’s main contact
