Why can’t I mark an activity as parallel?

If you can’t mark an activity as Parallel, it is usually because there is no scheduled activity in the job plan for it to relate to.

For an activity to be marked as Parallel, there must be at least one scheduled activity in the job plan.

Why this happens

A non-scheduled activity cannot be set as a replacement or parallel activity because it does not have a specific day or time assigned to it.

Without a defined schedule, the system cannot determine which activity is being replaced or linked.

What to do

Check whether the job plan already includes at least one scheduled activity with a defined day and time.

If it does not, add or update the relevant scheduled activity first, then try marking the activity as parallel again.
