Why is an agency booking showing as provisional?

The provisional status is displayed for agency shifts based on the Agency Cut Off period defined in the department settings.

For instance, if a department has established its Agency Cut Off period to 3 days, agency workers will not be confirmed for their shifts until they are within that 3-day window. This means that bank workers can continue to book themselves for shifts until the cut-off date arrives.

During this period, the system will indicate the booking as provisional. Once the cut-off date has passed, the status will automatically update to confirmed or booked.
